I am travelling to KL this week, and would like to know what the cheapest and easiest way to get 6 people from the KL airport into the city is? How much would it cost?
Also, is there anywhere we could go to watch coverage of the America’s Cup yachting while we’re there?
Any other info about what to do in KL would be great!

Taxi. What are you doing in KL?
Local cuisine and cultural destinations would be my interest.
The easiest way to get from the KLIA airport to Central station in downtown Kuala Lumpur is with the KLIA Express train. Taxi is also available and should get you there for RM50 to RM60 (RM being the local currency) no more. A more expensive alternative would be renting a car on the spot.
As for the America’s cup … it is hosted by Valencia (Spain) this year. The event is organised every 4 years and Malaysia is in a bid to host the America’s cup in 2011. A bit urly to provide feedback on that event
Perhaps you are looking for information on the Monsoon cup where several America’s cup teams will participate? This will be held at Duyong Island in Terrenganu, the most northern state on the eastcoast in Malaysia, between Nov 28 and Dec 2, 2007.

surely u could take a bus, or airport taxi… definately bus is cheaper.
you could possibly watch the coverage by satelite tv.
surely there are great thing in malaysia…. surely the people… foods, beaches etc…
You can hire a van at the airport. As you walk out of the arrivals there is a counter for you to purchase your ticket. It should be in total about RM150-200 for 6 person. Pls dont get any cab from the guys who are shouting taxi taxi. (Touts)
There is a pub in Jalan Sultan Ismail. It’s called LEGENDS Sports Bar. It is just by TGI Fridays. Im sure they would switch it on for you if you ask. Just make sure of the time it starts.
Of course since you are already there, just walk down to the beach club or thai club. Or you could go up the KL tower. There is heaps to do in KL. Have fun.
You can go to KL city from KLIA by bus, taxi or KLIA express train. It’s just at the ground floor of the building and the train is quite fast.
you can board express bus at the bus terminal downstairs of klia to the city centre (kl central for RM10/person) (1 USD=RM 3.50). Most hotels in kl offers pay tv, which normally cover america’s cup. you can even watch live NBA games in malaysia. enjoy your stay in malaysia.
Use the official airport taxi van since you a party of 6. Avoid the pirate taxis or touts hanging around at the arrival area. Go straight to the taxi booth at the arrival hall. Currently Satellite TV coverage of Americas Cup will be on Eurosports Channel 84.
Depending on budget and time you could sample the variety of food and do some shopping since the Mega Sale is on.
