Naturally, the waves that a boat makes is called a wake. I’m not talking about the waves.

But suppose a sailboat is moving through calm water slowly. There is a difference in water color trailing behind even though the waves are consistent.

Well, I got this Sailboat. To get it to my house you have to cross this bridge. I see other people’s Sailboats mast retract or they come done. What do I need to get that done. What device do they have. I looked it up online and nothing comes up. Please Help!

The sailboat is traveling east at 40mph in an ocean current that moves south at 30mph. What is the resultant velocity?

I came up with 40mph southeast but I’m not sure that’s right.
